iPassion Group Pte Ltd has engaged an external business consultant to further improve our business structure.  

 Our aims are to achieve the following goals within the next 2 years:

  1. Scooter Service Center + Cafe Branches island wide.
  2. Retail Box concept store island wide.
  3. Own retail warehouse like IKEA/Big Box or Buy over Big Box Retail Warehouse 

Basic goals are to ensure company profits and salaries for employees.
Other additional goals such as supplying goods and services to general public and providing community services.  Achieving work life balance for our employees.

To survive and flourish in any business environment, we have to strive to be more effective and competitive even under continuous pressure.

Discipline in the Workplace

What is it?


It is important to alert all employees of the unacceptable behaviors within the organization. A plan of action in workplace to hold each employee accountable for violating the rules. To ensure that everyone is familiar with the workplace rules, you'll be given a printed copy of the rules. For accountability purposes, each employee is required to sign a statement indicating that he is aware of the rules. Employees subject to termination/Suspension after 2nd warning letter issued. Examples of misconduct which could result in discipline:

  1. Excessive late for work
  2. Failure to notify of an absence
  3. Insubordination
  4. Rude or abusive language in the workplace
  5. Failure to follow “Departmental Rules or Policies “, i.e., not wearing safety equipment
  6. Dishonesty
  7. Theft

Language

Using profane, violent or vulgar language in the workplace is a form of misconduct. This includes inappropriate jokes and jesting. It doesn't matter if management exhibits the behavior or entry level employees. The workplace should maintain a professional vibe at all times and this includes keeping the use of language professional.

Actions

Physically touching another employee in the workplace is a form of misconduct. You will never know when an employee will take offense to the physical touching and report it as harassment. For that reason, it is best for each employee to avoid inappropriate physical contacts.

Insubordination

When an employee willingly violates the request of upper management, it is insubordination. This is not limited to an employee's verbal refusal. Depending upon your company's policy, there are a variety behaviors that constitute insubordination. For example, excessive tardiness, missing work without call in, browsing the Internet instead of working, or using company email to send personal messages may constitute insubordination.

Theft and Breaching Confidentiality

Stealing is a form of misconduct. Theft is not limited to physical items, it is also wrong to steal intellectual property from the company or use proprietary information for personal gain. All company information is confidential. If an employee handles confidential information, he/she should be required to sign a confidentiality agreement to ensure he/she understands the importance of confidentiality and is aware of the consequences of violating the agreement.
